The Magic of Imagination

Posted on 04:00 by Unknown
Well hey there pretty one!

A happy new week to you! Guess what I just love? (aside from you of course) I love my imagination! The most wonderful thing about imagination is that it is entirely yours. It can take you wherever you want to go and it can turn you in to whoever you want to be. It is limited only by your own limitations. Lately I've been spending a little time each day in day-dreaming land and it has been absolutely wonderful.

My imagination has nourished my soul.

I've talked about moving into my new apartment last month, and how ungrounded I felt. I don't know if I mentioned the unpleasant dreams I kept having to go along with it. For almost a week straight I had terrible dreams and I was so tired of waking up feeling grumpy because of them. I was determined to find a way to make the bad dreams go away and I did. When I was laying in bed trying to fall asleep, I'd let my imagination take over and think of something soothing and relaxing.

It brought be closer to the Divine.

I've had quite a close relationship with the Greek Goddess Aphrodite for a few years now. In the last six months or so I've drifted away from my spirituality a little bit. It's mainly been because I'm happy. When I'm depressed, I turn to my spirituality a lot more, like a lifeline. Things have been pretty okay depression-wise so I haven't relied on it as much as I used to. I didn't realize I missed it so much until a few weeks ago.

During my imagination time I found myself in a dimly lit cave by the ocean. The sand was warm against my skin as I laid down in it. I could hear the ocean waves outside, lulling me into relaxation. It was bliss and I could feel and see and smell everything. It was cozy and intimate and I felt so safe. In my imagination Aphrodite was there and we sat and talked. That's my kind of worship. I needed cave time, I need to focus on me, I needed darkness and water and waves and the smell of the salty air. I was able to get that because of my imagination

Imagination can lead you to magical and beautiful places.

  • Not only that it can reduce stress, ease anxiety, and allow you to relax as well as sleep better. It's pretty much meditation (really lazy unstructured meditation! Which is totally okay!) and I am all for that.

So I would love to know, what things do you imagine? How do you use your imagination and how does it affect your every day life?
