Rainbow Blessings
Posted on 04:00 by Unknown
Earth Magic is the most powerful. The Earth is our Mother, she holds us and sustains us, holding us close and protecting us. Letting the Sunlight land upon our face, the wind in our hair, the water around our body, and the dirt between our toes. Today's Oracle Card comes from the Earth Magic Oracle Cards.
Today's Card is the Rainbow and it represents blessings.
Rainbows are one of the many beautiful, magical, breath-taking, aspects of nature that just makes us stop for a moment simply to admire the beauty of it.
This is your reminder for today: Take time to be grateful for your blessings.
It is so important to take the time to close your eyes, take a deep breath, and tell the Universe how thankful you are for all that you have. Don't just be grateful for the big things. Be grateful for the little blessings as well.
Today the blessings that I find in my life are: My wonderful online tribe (that means YOU). Blissfully cool air conditioning. Bright, happy, sunlight. Hot, sweet, coffee. The sound of birds chirping outside of my window. The way my body happily sighs and immediately relaxes the moment I climb into bed. The taste of cold water. My friends that just warm my heart and make me happy.
What are you grateful for today?

My Heart's Wish
Posted on 22:48 by Unknown
I'd love for you to join the Tribe of Wishcasters! Every Wednesday we flock to our blogs, we answer a question, and then we all visit each other and leave a comment like "As you wish for yourself, so I wish for you as well."
It's a great way to connect, to share, to find GREAT new blogs, and to bring our wishes one step closer to manifesting. So join in! Today we are asked:
What is your heart's wish?
Oh what a lovely thing! I can think of so many things to wish for, so many wonderful things that my happy little heart wants.
My heart's wish is to continue to feel joy, to love to its fullest capacity and then a little bit more. My heart's wish is to love each and every person I come across and to shower them with happy, little, rainbow-colored, droplets of love.
Wanna know my greatest wish for this sweet little heart of mine?
My heart wishes to always be listened to. It may not have the strongest, loudest, voice. It speaks in a quiet, self-assured, voice full of sweetness and honesty. The words are wise and true. I shall try a little harder to listen to them.
Happy wishings to all of you amazing women!

The Magic of Imagination
Posted on 04:00 by Unknown
Well hey there pretty one!
A happy new week to you! Guess what I just love? (aside from you of course) I love my imagination! The most wonderful thing about imagination is that it is entirely yours. It can take you wherever you want to go and it can turn you in to whoever you want to be. It is limited only by your own limitations. Lately I've been spending a little time each day in day-dreaming land and it has been absolutely wonderful.
My imagination has nourished my soul.
I've talked about moving into my new apartment last month, and how ungrounded I felt. I don't know if I mentioned the unpleasant dreams I kept having to go along with it. For almost a week straight I had terrible dreams and I was so tired of waking up feeling grumpy because of them. I was determined to find a way to make the bad dreams go away and I did. When I was laying in bed trying to fall asleep, I'd let my imagination take over and think of something soothing and relaxing.
It brought be closer to the Divine.
I've had quite a close relationship with the Greek Goddess Aphrodite for a few years now. In the last six months or so I've drifted away from my spirituality a little bit. It's mainly been because I'm happy. When I'm depressed, I turn to my spirituality a lot more, like a lifeline. Things have been pretty okay depression-wise so I haven't relied on it as much as I used to. I didn't realize I missed it so much until a few weeks ago.
During my imagination time I found myself in a dimly lit cave by the ocean. The sand was warm against my skin as I laid down in it. I could hear the ocean waves outside, lulling me into relaxation. It was bliss and I could feel and see and smell everything. It was cozy and intimate and I felt so safe. In my imagination Aphrodite was there and we sat and talked. That's my kind of worship. I needed cave time, I need to focus on me, I needed darkness and water and waves and the smell of the salty air. I was able to get that because of my imagination
Imagination can lead you to magical and beautiful places.
So I would love to know, what things do you imagine? How do you use your imagination and how does it affect your every day life?

- Not only that it can reduce stress, ease anxiety, and allow you to relax as well as sleep better. It's pretty much meditation (really lazy unstructured meditation! Which is totally okay!) and I am all for that.

Self Love Assignment #1: The List
Posted on 04:00 by Unknown
One day I'm going to make an ecourse full of self love awesomeness, until then, why not throw in an assignment every now and then to keep you on your toes?
Today's assignment is to make a list of reasons why you love yourself. So get thee to thy quill and parchment (Pen and paper, and MS Word count too) and make a list of reasons why you love yourself. (bonus points and a gold star if you blog about it)
Make the list as long as you can, fill up a whole sheet of paper, make it fun by using paints and marker, make it big and bright and beautiful!
My (little) list of things love about me:
Each and every freckle on my face, especially the tiny one on my third eye chakra and the one on the side of my upper lip and the one above my eyebrow.
The way I sound when I am giggling so hard I can barely speak, also how I laugh so hard I snort.

The curve of my belly when I stretch.
The curly craziness of my hair that sometimes makes me feel like a lion.
My intuition and how it usually steers me in the right direction.
My capacity for compassion and forgiveness.
The fierce loyalty I have to the people that I love.
My ability to turn nearly everything into a dirty joke.
The way that I dance when I am happy.
The way that I dance when I am sad.
The maturity and wisdom that I have for my age.
The fact that I do what I love and love what I do.
What are the wonderful things you love about you?

Sacred Journey: Fathers, Joy, Friends
Posted on 04:00 by Unknown
Hello my lovely Sweeties,
How's your week going? Check in with yourself right now in this moment. How are you feeling?
It's time for another stop on our Journeys, a check-in with one another. A place of hugs, gentle soothing whispers, songs of triumphs and you-can-do-its.
“It is good to have an end to journey toward; but it is the journey that matters, in the end” - Ursula K. LeGuin
So let's have a chat about where we are right now.
If you follow me on my personal facebook account (if not, feel free to add me as a friend) then you might've noticed that I was a bit bummed last Sunday on Father's Day. The sad feelings of missing out on something I never got to have didn't last as long as they had in previous years. I grew up not knowing my biological father and my grandfather disappeared from my life when I was around twelve so there's a hole where that father figure should be. The thing that made me feel a bit better about the whole thing was telling my friend, who's the father of three great kids, how much I appreciate the wonderful job he's doing. Allowing myself to redirect my feelings in a positive way really helped me feel better about the entire situation.

I've been very happy lately. I love those moments in life where you just joyfully plod along without a care in the world and everything just seems to fall into place. I think that my one night stand with joy has turned into a full fledged relationship! Wish us luck! I hope that this week you have embraced joy, I'd love to hear what made you joyful.
Something that has touched me deeply is the movie For Colored Girls. It's the story of nine African American women who's lives are interwoven. It was a very powerful movie. Having never seen the play or read the book, I really didn't know what to expect going into it. The movie made me cry, the poetry of the movie was truly beautiful and heart-touching. You know that feeling that you get in your soul that gives you goosebumps and makes you shiver? I got that watching it. I especially loved the theme of sisterhood that was woven throughout the story. Women coming together to support one another is a beautiful thing to me. I never realized that one of my favorite quotes: "I found God in myself and I loved her. I loved her fiercely." Originated from the book. Love.
Speaking of sisterhood, I began regularly talking to the friend I've mentioned before. Our friendship ended terribly last year and I've missed her desperately the entire time we weren't speaking. I was very heartbroken over it. Talking to her again has made a lot of things clear in my head. I realized that we've completely grown apart and are in different places. Talking to her has made me see that I didn't really miss her, I missed what I wish the friendship was, I missed the good times (which were few and far between in reality), and in my mind I had built it up into something that it wasn't. I realize that now and it gives my soul a bit of peace. There's an emptiness and a hollowness in our words to each other. It's friendly and polite and I am happy that we can be that. However that connection that we had (or that I imagined we had) isn't there. That's totally okay and I think making peace with that has really helped lift my mood these last few weeks. I feel like all of these months I've been mourning a giant hole within me only to now realize that it isn't there anymore. Growth: it happens whether you want it to or not.
So this week I ask you, what struggles are you having? What are you loving, enjoying, reading, creating? What are you proud of? What have you struggled with? What epiphanies have you had? If you have a blog, post the link to your favorite post of the week. If you like to photograph, let us see the picture! I love to spend just a few moments with you, sharing in your life and in your journey. Feel free to share this on Facebook and Twitter, invite your friends to take a moment to share their journey and to share in ours. This is a place of oodles of love and acceptance!
Much love to you sweet soul.

The Magic of Your Story
Posted on 04:00 by Unknown
Morning my beautiful Blossoms!
Last week was such a gentle and relaxing week full of taking time for myself, filling up my well, and taking it easy. Right now inspiration and beauty (and tons of love) is just spilling out of me.
Last week as I looked back through blog posts, some of them over a year old, I realized something that I never really acknowledged back then.
My story matters and so does yours.
All-in-all, believe it or not, I'm a pretty boring person in the day to day. I don't travel, I don't go out on retreats, I don't go out often, and I live alone without the entertainment of children. I live in my own little self contained, homebody, world that consists of working from 10pm to 7am at Walmart, doing my spirit work when I get home in the morning, playing computer games with my bestie for an hour or two, and then sleeping. My routine doesn't change very much. Even though I'm incredibly boring my words still matter and my voice still needs to be heard, and I am still wise and full of wisdom.
So are you!
Despite how "boring" you think you are don't ever let that stop you from being a guide, from sharing the wisdom you've gleaned from the mundane. You have a story to tell, so tell it.
Today's card comes from the Wild Wisdom of the Faery. The Storykeeper faery sits on her throne recording my story, recording yours, knowing that each journey holds an immense amount of power. She encourages you to be the main character in your own journey as you are meant to be. Step up, be strong, brave, and magical and know that you are the writer, the author, of your tale. You get to decide what you do and where you go next. You get to write your own happy ending... and the epilogue... and then the next book... and the one after that... You hold the quill, the pen, the keyboard at your finger tips. It's all up to you.
How do you feel about telling your own story? If someone was writing a book with you in it do you think you'd be a main character or a supporting one? Why?
