Plan A: Get Into the Christmas Spirit

Today is Wishcasting Wednesday and today's wish goes absolutely wonderfully with a plan I've been hatching since this morning. You see, I hate Christmas. I don't really hate it, but it's not a happy time for me. If you had asked me yesterday, what I'm excited about for this month, I would have said the Hobbit, with nary a thought for Christmas.

Working at my retail job makes the holidays about hectic work schedules and increasing sales. Being estranged from my family also means it's sometimes a bit lonely and sad ((but not stressful, which I am eternally grateful for)). So Christmas hasn't been fun for me in a while. Today, Jamie Ridler asks us:

What do you wish to celebrate?

I wish to celebrate the holiday season. I have a pagan heart and consider it Yule, but I'm all about honoring the spirit of the holiday, despite what name you call it, let's celebrate it all! For me,this is a time of gratitude, merriment, gift-giving, and celebration. I wish to celebrate and honor that this season! (I might even bake Christmas cookies, we shall see!)
