Citrine, crystals, and creativity!

Posted on 04:00 by Unknown
One of the things that a lot of people struggle with is creative mojo. Whether you keep losing your motivation or your creative well is dry, crystals can be good creative helpers.

Citrine is a beautiful stone that is yellow to brown in color. Citrine is a great 'summer' stone that carries with it the power of the sun. It energizes and enhances creativity, giving you that extra push to create.

One of the best things about Citrine is that it doesn't need to be cleansed, it transmutes and grounds all negative energies. This makes it a great, protective stone, especially if you work in a negative environment or if you are around negative people. If the people around you are sucking you dry of creativity set citrine pieces around your work area.

Citrine is also a great stone of abundance, it helps you to manifest prosperity and success while also encouraging you to share your amazing gifts and talents. This stone encourages self expression and individuality in your creativity. It helps you to be bold and beautiful and uniquely you in what you do.

If you have your own business or are thinking of starting a business I can not recommend this stone enough. It will help you foster all of those wonderful qualities that you need to be self assured in what you are doing.

Here are ways to use citrine:

The easiest way is to carry them around in your pocket or set them around your studio or workspace. You can also get them in the form of jewelry or make them into jewelry. Set them around your home for a specific purpose (research crystal grids!). Sleep with them in your pillow case or add them to your bath.

Hold them while you meditate or sit them on your sacral chakra (the chakra most associated with creativity) to let the crystal's vibrations work their magic. Chakras are energy centers in the body that correspond to different feelings and workings of the body. Crystals are a great way to align these centers so that energy can flow through your body in a way that it is supposed to, allowing you to embrace your creativity.

What things do you do to get your creative juices flowing? Ever tried crystals? I'd love to hear how you get yourself in a creative mood!

If you are interested in more stones to help you be a Creative Goddess, then check out my Sacred Journey Through Summer e-book, all about summer, passion, and creative energy and how to harness it. You get info on several more stones as well as oils and rituals and spells to help you be a passionate and creative you.

Listen to your heart, not the insecurities.

Posted on 04:00 by Unknown
"Listen to your heart." Sound advice right? Most of the time. I'm a big fan of listening to your heart and listening to what you feel deep down inside. Your heart holds a whole lot of wisdom.

I've talked about my relationship with a married man and what a disaster my first foray into love was. The entire time I told myself that I was listening to my heart. I was being brave and fighting for the love that I felt. I was going against what everyone else was saying to me because of that wonderful thing called listening to my heart.

It was all a lie.

My heart wanted to be loved fully and completely. My heart wanted to be put first and made to feel special. My heart was ready for commitment, to be a family with someone, to hear that a forever was possible. My heart wanted a ring, my heart wanted a wedding, my heart wanted my love to stand in front of the world and say how much he loved me and how proud he was to be mine.

My heart was screaming for all of that.

It didn't get a damn thing.

I wasn't listening to my heart, I was listening to my insecurities in the guise of heart-speak. My insecurities wanted someone in my life, it didn't matter who or how they treated me. They wanted attention no matter how or why it was given. They wanted to feel less alone, at least sometimes. They were needy and clingy and as long as I was being kissed and cuddled they'd sell out my heart in a heartbeat.

"My heart doesn't love you. My insecurities do."

That was basically what it boiled down to. It was easier to listen to my insecurities than to listen to my heart speak. I betrayed my beautiful beating heart, I ignored its voice by telling everyone (and sometimes myself) that it was happy, that it was getting everything it wanted. I never want to make that mistake again.

What does your heart want?

Really, really, really?

Are there any situations where you're letting your insecurities speak over your heart? Are you remaining true to what it wants even if it speaks softly and timidly?

Sacred Journey Through Journaling: Elisa

Posted on 04:00 by Unknown
As you know, I've released a mini e-course called Sacred Journey Through Journaling. I have had such amazing responses to the prompts and I really wanted to share them. Send me yours at Dominee@blessingmanifesting.com. This one comes from my wonderful friend Elisa at MagicallyPositive.com

How have your feelings for yourself evolved throughout the years? What are the things that you most love about yourself? How can you improve your relationship with yourself?

My feelings for myself have evolved great over the years like a roller coast very up and down more downs than up’s until recently.

Last year I decided it was time to turn my life around I was sick of living with a head full of negative and most of that negative was aimed directly at myself and it hurt, it hurt so much I considered ending it all many times but there was a couple of things that made me grasp hold again and not give up the first being my daughter I want to turn my life into a positive one not for her but to show her how it can be done and be a great example for her and secondly I always felt I was worth more I just had no idea how to find myself worth and begin to love myself, and then I read Brandon Bay’s ‘The Journey’ and wow that changed my life completely, I have read and love so many self-help books over the years Louise Hay is a big favourite of mine and her books have helped me so much but it was The Journey that gave me the final piece to my puzzle and I was able to pick up the piece and heal myself from within and not just band aides I healed myself completely so much so that I found unconditional love an trust within myself and it is the most awesome feeling ever.

I really had started to wonder if I could ever truly love myself and I found that yes I can by healing myself from the inside out and healing all of my from the child me through to the teen me who needed a lot of healing to the adult me I healed all of myself layer by layer and it felt so amazingly awesome and that feeling has just grown and grown in leaps and bounds ever since it has been 1 year now since I did all of my healing and my life has changed so amazingly I am living my dream life doing want I want to do and loving every day of it and I just can’t say enough how awesome that is.

Everyone needs to find their trigger to pure blissful happiness and unconditional self-love because it is truly awesome when you do and life becomes full of the most awesome sparkly rainbows.

Sacred Journey: Spirals

Posted on 04:00 by Unknown
Hey there gorgeous soul. Today is another stop on the Sacred Journey, yours and mine. I'll share with you how things are going with me, in my personal life, and you can do the same. You can always feel free to comment here and I'll respond with my own wisdom, or with gigantic hugs.

I love hearing from you.

So this is where I'm at right now. I released my latest project and just like last time I'm descending into darkness. And you know what? That's totally okay. I've realized that this is part of my spiral. See that beautiful picture up there? When I'm creating something I dance among the brightly lit and vibrantly colored tiles and everything feels beautiful and perfect. I feel on top of the world. When I finish my project and release it out into the world I get post-project-blues. Do you ever go through anything like that?

Suddenly what I did doesn't seem good enough and I begin to doubt myself.

I go down the spiral, walking in the in-between. Walking in the dark. I know that the spiral will end and that I will find the brightness again, but the descent down is still dark and lonely. At times like this I do a lot to realign myself with where I want to be. I sleep a lot and spend time relaxing and doing things that don't put demands on my time or stress me out.

I also take a deep look at my feelings and why I feel them.

Some emotions are worth keeping and others just need to be let go of. Lately I've been concentrating on dealing with my "base" emotions. Take insecurity for example, when I feel insecure suddenly I feel this wave of other emotions. Feeling insecure about my work suddenly starts this domino effect of other emotions that really have nothing to do with how I'm really feeling. They just see the opening and they rush in. I sift through them, tossing away the emotions that are just there to be there out of old habits that I'm letting go of.

This part of the spiral leads to wisdom.

I'm contemplating a new tattoo! I've fallen in love with the idea of having a teeny heart tattooed on my wrist as a tangible reminder of the love that I have for myself. Even I sometimes forget to love myself. It's always good to have a reminder!

So how are you doing this week? I'd love to hear from you!

Of the Dark Moon and Cycles of Rebirth

Posted on 04:00 by Unknown
If there is one thing that I have become used to in my life, it is cycles and spirals. Everything waxes and wanes with me. My energy and creativity seem to heighten when it's colder, I have more drive to do things in the early morning and it wanes as the day grows.

A spiral that I used to find extremely difficult was the spiral of my emotions.

Up and down, up and down. It was hard for me because I had no idea how to deal with emotions in any other way but to cry about them. Every time I felt something bad or someone hurt my feelings, it crippled me for days. I felt like I was going to be sad forevvvvvvver so what was the point of living?

To be fair, I was so busy being upset about the bad stuff that there wasn't a lot of embracing the happiness. In the last year that has changed so much.

The bad stuff still crops up but the good stuff, the happy moments, I bask in it. The unhappy moments, I've learned to cherish those too. That's where I get a huge amount of wisdom and knowledge about myself. Those moments show me where there is work to be done. I know that there is a balance and that the cycle will come full circle.

The card I want to share is from the Wild Wisdom of the Faery Oracle and is Dark Moon.

This faery is shrouded in contemplation with an air of sadness. She represents the darkening -- the time of self-assessment, when we struggle to understand what is going on around us. She feels withdrawn, fragile, and raw. She needs to look within to answer the difficult questions in her life. She needs to take the time to ponder, to sit, and to understand what she feels.

From this time of contemplation she will emerge, wiser than before. She will emerge stronger and more determined to live the life she was meant for. She will flourish again.

For now she experiences the dark night of the soul and it is necessary and good. Wisdom will be born and she will live wild and freely again.

Do you allow a balance to exist between your emotions? Do you honor the cycles and spirals of what you feel and what goes on within you?

I wish to share my love.

Posted on 05:58 by Unknown
Happy wishcasting all of you amazing people! For those of you that don't know, every Wednesday the fabulous Jamie Ridler gives us a prompt that we blog about and then we all go to each other's blogs and leave a comment like: "As you wish for yourself, so I wish for you also."

It's really nourishing to read other people's wishes and have mine supported as well. Even if you don't have a blog, feel free to visit around and support the other bloggers.

Today we are asked: What do you wish to share?

My answer is simple. I've blogged about my thoughts on love and why I feel like I'm a bad friend but when you really get down to it, even though I might not show it in the very best way, I have a lot of love to give. As I've gotten older, I've realized that there is this well of maternal love within me. It wants to nurture and soothe and heal and I want to share that energy with the world.

I think what I most love about wishing to share my love is sharing it and not giving it away. Often times we give our love at the expense of saving some for ourselves.

I wish to share my love with everyone who needs it.

I can't think of a better gift for the world.

Lots of love to you!

Be Honest With You

Posted on 06:08 by Unknown
Hey there lovely!

How's it going? I mean how is it REALLY going?

One thing that I learned about myself long ago, is that when someone asks me that question, "How's it going?" or "How are you?" I have automatic answers. "Good. Great. Okay." I hardly ever deviate from one of those three. Sometimes that's honest and other times it's the farthest thing from the truth. Feelings are personal, intimate even, so when someone asks you how you are, especially someone who is just trying to be polite and friendly, it's difficult to acknowledge how we feel. It's difficult to say out loud that we aren't okay. And you know what? That's okay. You don't have to spill your guts to every polite and friendly person that you come across. However, there is something that you have to do:

You have to be honest with yourself.

Sometimes you're just in a crappy mood, and you are allowed to be in a crappy mood. You are allowed to be sad or angry or moody. You don't have to pretend that your feelings don't exist. You can "fake it until you make it" with the world, but for yourself... for yourself... acknowledge what you feel and why you feel it.

Don't push your feelings down just because everyone expects you to be happy. When you have an unpleasant feeling don't pretend that it doesn't exist just because you want to be the kind of person that doesn't feel it. I hate feeling jealousy for example, and for a very long time I told myself that I wasn't going to be jealous. I was going to be happy for other people, I was going to be accepting and loving if it killed me. Whenever I felt jealous it was the equivalent of squeezing my eyes shut, putting my fingers in my ears and saying "I'm not jealous. I'm not jealous. I'm not jealous."

What I learned is that if you don't acknowledge it, it simmers under the surface and then it comes back with a vengeance. Acknowledge what you feel, be honest with what is going on inside of you without the views and expectations of others (and even sometimes yourself) weighing you down.

Your self love assignment for the day:

Take a few minutes of quiet time and really check in with yourself and how you are feeling. Are there any feelings that you've brushed aside but you can still feel them lingering in the back of your mind? Is there something that you need help with but you're afraid to ask for it because everyone sees you as so capable and put together? Let go of what they think and do for yourself. Are you wonderfully, joyfully, happy? Bask in that and figure out how you can create more bliss for yourself. Being honest with yourself, about everything, is one of the best things that you can do for you!

Have a wonderful week and lots of love to you!

Summer Blessings!!!

Posted on 11:39 by Unknown
My Summer e-book is here, yay! It's a month later than I had planned, but better late than never right? I have spent the last seven days busily working on all of my ebooks. My older ones got complete make-overs and now they all look bright and shiny.

Right here in this moment I am utterly exhausted, yet so content and happy that I could burst.

It's been a long week. I've been wanting to re-do my Autumn and Winter e-books for a very long time because I was so unhappy with them. It seemed like such a daunting task and to have got it done makes me feel so proud and accomplished. The Autumn e-book even tripled in word count. As I mentioned in my last blog post, if you bought one of the older versions of my e-books you'll get the links to updated version sent to your inbox some time this week.

If there's one lesson I have learned from Summer it's to go for it, to be passionate and give my all.

I learned to harness that vibrant, creative, energy and make magic. I've worked a minimum of 12 hours each day on the e-books and workbooks and not once did I feel my passion wane. I always woke up so happy and excited to get to work and get something accomplished. Having that much passion and drive was really amazing.

For awhile there I was worried that my self care practices would suffer but amazingly they didn't. I found time to go hang out with friends a few times, I spent time snuggled up in bed reading my newest romance novel, and I relaxed while watching a few movies. Gran Torino made me bawl like a baby, just so you know.

I feel like I just gave birth... you know... aside from the owied lady-bits part. I'm exhausted but happy. This week really showed me where I want Blessing Manifesting to go and what I want to do. A year ago if you had asked me what I wanted to do with my life my response would have been "Be happy." Today my response is "Be happy... and change the world."

My next project, hopefully out by October, will be a Six Week Self-Love e-course.

I would really love your feedback on what you would want/expect from something like that. It'd be my first e-course and I want it tailored completely to you! Would you want or expect videos? Would you want all of the course information sent to you at once or a week at a time? Would a week focused on self care and sex make you uncomfortable? What are you biggest self love/self care challenges?

Let me know what you think!

Sacred Journey: It's Vacation Time!

Posted on 07:35 by Unknown
Hello you beautiful soul you!

It's another Sacred Journey Check-in, where I create a sacred space to share and talk with you. So this week I ask you, what struggles are you having? What are you loving, enjoying, reading? What are you proud of? If you have a blog, post the link to your favorite post of the week. If you like to photograph, let us see the picture! I love to spend just a few moments with you, sharing in your life and in your journey.

Today I ask you to walk with me for a little bit, to tell me about what's on your mind and in your heart.

So here's what's been going on with me: I'm on vacation from my pays-the-bills job. So that's 40 blissful hours to myself this week and I've been using it to dive head first into my work here. I'm checking things off of my to-do list left and right. My first order of business was completely re-doing my freebies page. All the free ebooks got a bit of a revamp so download them again and take a look, The "Little Book of Comfort" especially.

I'm also redoing my Autumn/Winter/Spring Blessings ebook as well as releasing the Summer ebook by the end of next week. The Autumn and Winter books are getting a total and complete overhaul as well as corresponding workbooks added to each of them. They really needed fleshed out as they were made when I didn't have clue as to what I was doing. I'm also doing a few aesthetic changes to the Spring ebook so it all looks like it's a cohesive series.

As a super big thank you to those who have purchased the ebooks in the past, you'll automatically get free download links for the new versions with the workbooks and everything no strings attached! It's cause I love you and so much appreciate you buying my stuff (especially when I first started out!) Y'all gave me massive confidence to keep going even when the ebooks weren't the most awesome thing ever (I want to use the word crap, hehehe, I've just gotten so much better at what I do!) I'll also be selling them as a bundle so I'm excited about that!

Personally things have been going great. I was sitting in bed finishing my latest romance novel a few days ago ("A Night Like This" by Julia Quinn if you're interested) and I had this epiphany of "Holy shit my life is perfect and I'm happy." In the past it would've scared me to say it out loud, to own it, for fear that it would be snatched away the moment the words left my lips, but there it is. Listen up Universe, I'm happy and I'm grateful for it! There's not a thing I would change right now aside from possibly doing this Blessing Manifesting thing full time, but that shall come when the time's right!

Right now I'm walking on this happy little sunlight path, happy and content, knowing that there are shadows up ahead (as there always will be) but living in the moment, and right now the moment is blissful.

So tell me about your week, about your life, about your journey. Walk with me on my path. If you want to walk with me in silence, that's okay too. I know you are here with me, and I am there with you too. A word, a sentence, your life story, it's all okay, and it is all welcomed here, you can also post completely anonymously in the comments if there's something you want to get off your chest. Venting is totally okay here.

A Message From Your Faery Godmother

Posted on 07:35 by Unknown

Mornin' darlin'!

I've been busily organizing things here at Blessing Manifesting and I am so happy with some of the changes that I have been making. The Freebies Page is now super beautiful and organized, you should definitely go check it out right now. I also revamped my free ebooks so they look all sparkly and pretty.

How are you? I hope you're having a great day!

Today's card comes from Brian Froud's The Faeries Oracle Deck.

The Faery Godmother

Gifts. Talents. Grace. Helpful Lessons.

Sairie, the Faery Godmother is here to bring a little magic into your life. She might give you a bit of faery dust to brighten your mood, or perhaps a little grace to help you on your way. She's responsible for those little inconspicuous (and sometimes the noticeable) miracles that make life a little bit nicer. She will bestow gifts upon you and sometimes gives you a choice when you thought you didn't have one. Sairie loves you not because you deserve it or don't deserve it, but because you exist, that is reason enough for her. (That's totally the way I feel too) It is simple. She is the giver of grace and useful lessons. She tries not to interfere very much and instead gives you a touch of faery grace so that you learn a wee bit faster.

Think of her as your personal guardian angel's assistant. She takes care of those things your guardian angel might forget about.

Sairie turns up when good things are happening to you, especially good things that you feel you don't deserve. That is her lesson. It's not about being worthy, it's about giving and receiving unconditionally and she wants you to know that. Take that lesson to heart and teach it to others.

Do you feel like you are able to receive as easily as you give, and vice-versa? When wonderful things happen to you do you feel guilty or delight in them?

I wish to be a romance novel heroine!

Posted on 04:47 by Unknown
Today's Wishcasting Wednesday prompt is a fun one! What would you wish for if anything were possible? I have the greatest wish ever! I would wish to be able to transport myself into any book of my choosing. Oh yeah! How amazing would that be?

Best wish ever.

I've had this wish since I was a kid and I can't think of anything more extraordinary! I could transport myself to the world of Harry Potter, or Lord of the Rings, or so many other exciting, adventurous, places where reality is meaningless and so many fantastic things happen.

Yesterday I finished my newest romance novel by the fantastic author Julia Quinn. She is by far my favorite romance novel writer ever in the history of the world. My favorite romance novels take place in 1800s England. I don't know why, but I am such a sucker for that kind of thing. Waltzes, propriety, the rules of society, lovely dresses. There's something magical about it to me.

I love that the best part of the book is almost always the first kiss. The lead up to that one moment is always so exciting and wonderful. Most romance novels (at least my favorites) don't have the first kiss within the first 100 pages and I love that the romance comes from the wit, friendship, and banter, between the main characters.

So if I could transport myself into any romance novel it would be one written by Julia Quinn! Friendship, humor, kisses, adventure, scandal, and of course a happy ever after!

What impossible things are your wish?

A Ritual of Release

Posted on 06:38 by Unknown
Why hello there lovely people! So today... today has been really weird. I'm having a very uncomfortable anxiety feeling, ya know, like I'm on the verge of an anxiety attack. I've been trying to figure out why I'm feeling this way but so far, no luck. So I'm just sitting with it, breathing, relaxing, and letting it be. Hopefully some time spent meditating will give me some sort of revelation and I will stop feeling this way. It's pretty unpleasant!

Today on Magic Manifesting Monday I wanted to share with you a little ritual that is perfect if you're holding on to something (or someone) that you really need to let go.

Releasing What You No Longer Need
Supplies:
Paper
Pen
Fireproof bowl
Fire

Take the piece of paper and tear it into strips. On each strip, write something that you want to let go of. This can be anything. If you have a feeling of anger about something that you no longer need, write it down. If there's a trait about yourself or a habit that you want to let go of, write it down. If you want to finally get over your feelings about someone, this might help you there as well. You might have a lot of things to write down, you might not, just keep writing things down until you feel like you've got it all out. Once you've done this, set the pieces of paper on fire in a fireproof container or your kitchen sink.

I let go of these things I no longer need

I release them to the Universe

By letting go I make room for new growth

I open myself up to love and to forgiveness.

Love for myself and others.

Forgiveness for myself and others.

This is a new beginning.

May I be blessed on this new journey.

This symbolizes you letting go of those things, purifying yourself, and starting over anew. It is so wonderful to feel all of the negative things you've been holding onto fall away from you.

Many blessings!

Here's a secret: You ARE enough

Posted on 08:25 by Unknown
Hello sweetheart! If you're new here, welcome, and if you aren't then welcome back!

Today I am so excited because the app on my phone says it might rain tomorrow and rain gets me all giddy and happy. Don't know why I felt the need to share that with ya, but I did, yay rain. Another thing that's making me happy is all of the feedback and lovin's for my Sacred Journey through Journaling mini e-course (pssst, that means sign up! :p)

Are you ready for Self Love Sunday where I share with you a wonderful way to enrich and nourish your journey to loving yourself?

I want to share with you something that I've learned in the last year or so of this wonderful inner journey I've been on. I am enough. At times it really didn't feel that way and sometimes it still doesn't. I didn't feel like I was letting go enough, or getting over my depression enough, or being happy enough or doing enough to fix all of my issues. When you start beating yourself up for all of the things that you are not you miss the great joy of seeing the things that you are. Beautiful, magical, amazing things.

Regardless of where you've been, or where you are going... right now... you are "enough".

I believe that we all have the potential to be great and amazing and fabulous and every little thing that we imagine, but that doesn't have to happen right now. Sometimes it can't happen right now and that's absolutely no reason to feel like we are failing in some way.

Think of the seedling of an oak tree. It has to grow into what it is to become, same as us. It's a slow process but it happens. It happens in stages but it does happen. If you are feeling like you aren't enough realize that this is part of the process, it's alright and you will get there, and until you do just let go of that feeling, let go of that feeling that's keeping you from appreciating, loving, and celebrating the you right now.

Love exactly who you see in the mirror.... You are enough.

Even if you feel like you used to be so much more than what you are now, know that you are enough. Know that your experiences have brought you so much growth. Believe that you will find your radiance again.

If you look at that person that you so badly want to be and you fear that you will never get there and never achieve the greatness that you want to be, know that it happens one step at a time. Just keep moving in the right direction, even if you occasionally lose your way.

You are enough. Let those words sink into your skin. Believe them, feel them, know them.

You are enough.

New beginnings and inspiration!

Posted on 05:24 by Unknown
First off ohmyfreakinggosh you people are awesome. I had so many of you sign up for my free writing prompt mini e-course and I was totally like "whoa". I'm not sure anything that I've done yet has generated so much interest so I was very, very, pleased! If I was a bird today, my chest would be all puffed out and I'd be happily chirping. No qualms about it, I have the best tribe ever!

Today's card is oh-so-fitting and comes from the Spirit of the Wheel Meditation deck by Linda Ewashina. Today I pulled the "East" card.

New beginnings. Thought process. Inspiration.

Pick a day this week to go outside and watch the sunrise. Allow yourself to bathe in the soft, beautiful, light and be filled with the inspiration of a new dawn, a new day, and a fresh beginning.

Choose today to start on your path with intention. Know exactly where you want to go the moment you begin your journey. Wake up with purpose, allow your inspiration and passion to fuel you into greatness.

Today would be a great day to sit down and make decisions. If you've been unsure of your path and where it's leading you, spend some time thinking about it today. Dig deep into what inspires you, take a look at your passions and what your heart is telling you. Let that lead you on your way.

Personally right now, I am feeling so renewed with the energy of my business. So inspired by everything around me, I want to make beautiful things for you. So if there's anything you'd like to see me create, let me know! This business is ultimately for you and I love to know how I can serve you.

What new beginnings are you ready to start right now?

Sacred Journey Through Journaling

Posted on 04:21 by Unknown
Hello sweethearts!

I've been working, working, working, coming up with so much, brainstorming new ideas, and straining against every day life that leaves me feeling constricted as far as time to create goes.

I'm still working on my Summer ebook as well as waiting for the free time to create a series of seven ecourses which are going to be amazing, as well as my self love ecourse, which I can't wait to get started on!

Lately I've really felt called to create something for you, to give back, to show appreciation, cause I love you, ya know?

I've been asked so many times "How do you find things to write about?" and I can't explain it any better than it just comes to me. I get inspired from everywhere, there are so many topics and so many things to write about and I just love that I never run out of things to say.

So I'm sharing that with you!

If you find yourself stuck in figuring out what to write, here's a mini writing/journaling/blogging prompt mini-ecourse.

Sacred Journey Through Journaling is two weeks of prompts, sent straight to your email, meant to inspire you to get writing. They are deep, thoughtful, and insightful prompts. Each one comes with an inspiring quote from a famous writer, as well as little doodle of my own artwork.

It's completely free and I would love for you to sign up. If you ever use any of the prompts in your own blog I'd love to give you a shoutout so send me the links so I can share, I would totally love to read what you have to write!

Happy writing!

The Magic of Forgiveness

Posted on 04:00 by Unknown
There are a lot of ways to practice forgiveness and I mean a lot. Everyone forgives differently, every situation is different, and the feelings involved are different. Forgiveness is usually a process and usually takes time, but there are things that you can do to help the process along.

Stones and crystals: There are a lot of crystals that can help soothe hurt feelings and aid in forgiveness. You can carry these around with you, meditate with them, or put them on your heart chakra to help aid in forgiveness. Pink calcite, apache tear, sugilite, topaz, peridot, and rose quartz are good stones for this.

Aromatherapy: Essential oils can also help. They'll relax you and calm you down and help take away a bit of the emotional owie-ness you're feeling. You can massage yourself with oils like lavender, chamomile, rose, ylang ylang, and bergamot. You can massage these on your belly or your heart or wear them as a perfume.

Sending Love: The ritual of sending love to someone has helped me a lot in certain situations, especially when I am partly to blame for the situation. What you do is you close your eyes and picture the person you want to forgive. Then imagine that person being happy, imagine that person getting the things that they want in life, let yourself be happy for them. Wish them peace and wish them love and let go. Whenever I've done this I've felt really good and really at peace afterwards.

Candle Magic: Light a black candle and as it burns let out all of the things that you need to forgive or that need forgiven of you. Allow yourself to let it out of your body like toxins just seeping out. The hurt and anger that you're holding on to is no longer there to serve you. Let the tears fall if that's what needs to happen. "Help me to let go of anger. I am ready to let go and find forgiveness within myself. No one is perfect, we all make mistakes, and yet we are all children of the Universe, deserving of love and forgiveness. Today I forgive."

I Forgive: One of my favorite exercises is from Louise L. Hay's book You Can Heal Your Life, where you say out-loud, "The person I need to forgive is _____ and I forgive you for ____". Sounds silly right? Maybe, but it works. You'd be surprised of how many little grudges you are holding on to, or how many things that you thought you'd never forgive that you suddenly realize just don't matter anymore.
I know that forgiveness happens in it's own time. Going through the motions of forgiveness because you feel like you are a "bad" person for holding onto a grudge or being angry does more damage than good. You're allowed to be angry. You are allowed to hold grudges. You'll know when the time is right for you to let go. When the idea of forgiveness becomes something that makes you feel empowered then it's time. Listen to your inner voice and you'll know what to do.
Lots of love to you!

5 Ways To Stop Hating Your Body

Posted on 04:00 by Unknown
Happy Self Love Sunday! So weight issues... such a big topic and one so intertwined with loving your body. I've been on both sides of it, loving and hating my body... feeling like I'm too fat or not fat enough. The thing that always annoys me is the pictures that start out "Real women... (have curves/ aren't a size zero/ ect) To which I say "Poo poo!"

Now I completely understand curvy women wanting to say "Look, I can be what I am and still be beautiful." but to do that at the expense of those women that don't have curves or are naturally thin, is no better than the media who likes to tell you how fat you are.

Real women come in all shapes and sizes. The end. Nobody should be defined by their body shape. So all of you real, beautiful, women out there, here are some tips on how to love your body.

1. Decide that society's opinion about your body ceases to matter right now.
Don't buy into magazines that will help you get the "perfect swim suit body" be happy with your body the way it is. Accept it the way it is. Love it the way it is. Most of what you see in the media is touched up and airbrushed and it doesn't represent you or I, unless we allow it to. Check out This Is My Body Project or The Shape of a Mother (there's nudity so it's probably nsfw) those are real women, real bodies, and they're beautiful.

2. If you need to lose/gain weight, do it, but not at the expense of loving your body as it is today.
You might not have your "perfect" body but that doesn't mean that you can't love it anyway. Think of your kids or your partner. Are they perfect? Are they just how you always imagined they'd be? Probably not, yet you still love them anyway right? Adopt that attitude towards your body. Love it now and love it 20lb from now.

3. Remember that your body is just a small part of who you are.
At your funeral no one is going to stand up and say "Boy did she look good in those size 10 jeans." Your personality is the sum of who you are. Your personality is the reason someone is going to love you. What you give to the world is a lot more important than the size and shape of your bum, just sayin'.

4. Get over the fear of mirrors and pictures.
I can't tell you enough how therapeutic spending some time with a mirror can be. (Read: Mirror, Mirror) When you actually know what your body looks like it allows you to start accepting it. Shopping for clothes becomes a lot less traumatic (I remember not having seen myself in a full length mirror in over a year and then bursting into tears of disgust when I went to try something on). Even if it's a struggle at first to accept what you see, it does get easier, and then you start noticing the good stuff. The sexy curves of hips and belly, the muscles in your back, the beauty of your skin. Take lots of photos of yourself too, it helps!

5. Make a list of all of the reasons you love your body.
It's hard to hate something that allows you to take nice walks on an early summer morning. To wrap your arms around the people you love. To dance around the living room. To have great sex. Your body allows you to do so much, so stop hating it for what it isn't and start loving it for what it is!

How do you feel about your body and does your weight influence it one way or another? Have any body loving tips? We'd love to hear them!
