Hello my beautiful Blossom! I've been enjoying the week off from blogging, relaxing, filling up my well with inspirational bogs, know any I should check out?
Today I wanted to share with you my bestest, most profound and awesome, posts on Self Care and Self Love.
To me, one of the most important parts of self love isn't about massages and pedicures, it's about loving the inside. It's about taking care of all of the stuff that holds you back. The mistakes, the shame the "I'm not good enough because..." That stuff holds no place for you, no value for you unless you take the wisdom, move on, and let go. That is self love. When you really love someone you don't judge them or punish them because of the past. This should hold true for you too. You deserve nothing less.
Mirror, Mirror
On the wall, who's the fairest one of all? Looking into the mirror, gazing into your eyes, and saying those three little words "I love you" can be one of the hardest exercises you can do to begin loving yourself. Do it anyway.
39 Things You Need to Know in 2012
My most popular blog post to-date, 39 very, very, important things that you need to know. Print them out, write them down, tack them up where you can see them and soak them in. You need to know that you deserve to be treated well, to find support, to be loved, and to not put up with anyone's shit.
Stop Worrying About What Other People Think
It is your right to NOT let other people's opinions about you become your opinions about yourself. So what if people don't like you? That's their problem. So what if people think you're strange or weird or the things that you do are silly... still THEIR problem. Tell 'em to bugger off.
Making Amends with the Past
Sometimes the only thing that you can do is own up to your mistakes, accept them, acknowledge change and growth (even though sometimes it hurts) and be grateful that it happened.
Closing the Door On the Past
“When one door of happiness closes, another opens; but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one which has been opened for us.” – Helen Keller
Wishing you a beautiful week, my love.
